Islamic Car to be Manufactured in Iran?

Can Iran compete in the Global Auto Industry making "Islamic Cars" targeting Muslims? The Islamic car will be produced in Iran - the project is well underway and the goal is to sell Islamic cars to all the Muslim nations and export them to all nations that have significant populations of Muslims. Different parts of the car will be made in places like Turkey and, Iran and they will target market Malaysia, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Oman, Iraq, Palestine, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Meanwhile, the Chinese are also coming out with a very small fuel-efficient car and why of small SUVs, which they plan on selling all over the world as well. This will be quite interesting because the Chinese are also partnering with various African countries to build cars there were cheaper labor and closer to the natural resources.
Does this mean the US automakers will not be able to compete in Asia, China, Africa, South America, Central America, Indonesia to sell their vehicles? The first Chinese car dealerships go into New Jersey in mid-2008 and they will be for sale at a lower price than even the Yugos, Daihatsu or Hyundai. The United States auto-workers need to start building cars that are more fuel-efficient that can compete or they will be left out in the cold.
The Iranian built, Islamic cars do not exist yet, but the project has already received funding that is needed to make it possible. This initial funding will pay for all the planning and feasibility studies. The total project to build the plant's it will make these cars will cost between 200 and $500 million and we will know sometime in mid-2008 if they will go through with it or not. Something to contemplate in 2008.
