Popular Fuel Efficient Vehicles

The time of cheap gas has passed. In some parts of the world people are paying twice as much per gallon as they were a few years ago. And the media tells us that the prices will continue to get higher.

Many people are very concerned and they don't know what they should do. Obviously they can't afford to continue just paying high prices at the pumps. But people still need to go to work or do their daily tasks that requires them to use a vehicle.

A good solution that many people are becoming aware of are fuel efficient vehicles. They will get you where you need to go with less gas being used. Scooters are very fuel efficient vehicles.

They are not as fast as mopeds - their maximum speed is about 20 miles per hour with the electric models. Nevertheless, you can use them to move around faster and easier than using an ordinary bicycle. Electric scooters are fantastic if you live in a small town where things are relatively close. They are especially good if you do not have public transportation available.

There are different laws when it comes to who can legally operate a scooter. It also depends on the type. In some regions kids as young as 12 years of age can use them. However, in other areas you must be the same age as required to legally drive a car and have a valid driver's license.

Small sized scooters are similar to a skateboard - you stand on a board. There are models that have a very thin board to stand on. There is a handle that is is shaped like the letter T, which you use to maneuver the scooter. This handle is adjustable to your height.

Some models have a small gas tank on the side of it that can hold up to 5 gallons of gas. This, of course, depends on the type of scooter that you want to buy. Lots of them come with a pull start mechanism that you should engage before you can get the fuel to run through the system and give you the necessary power to start moving around.

Some of the more costly scooters are similar to mopeds but they operate using a battery and electricity. These models may or may not use gas depending on which model you choose. The models that do need the use of gas do not consume very much of it at any given time.
